Performing this movement requires flexibility and high self-confidence, especially for female students, because they often feel weak and hesitate to perform movements that are considered difficult and risky. The tiger sprong movement is similar to the forward roll, with the main difference starting with both feet, jumping, and floating in the air. Executing the basic tiger sprong movement requires students to master the basic techniques of the forward roll. The difference lies in the need to jump and slide when executing the forward roll in the tiger sprong. This study applies a Descriptive approach with Quantitative Methods. Descriptive Approach with Quantitative Methods is a research method that explains the subject's activities through numerical data that serves as information and reference. The subjects in this study included 120 students from SMP PGRI Patrol Indramayu, including students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. By utilizing the quota sampling method, 20 students of grade VIII were selected as samples according to the characteristics or criteria desired by the researcher. The data collection technique in this study used a test, which is an instrument to assess and measure the achievement of predetermined goals. The assessment criteria for tiger sprong include the continuation of the movement from a forward jump with both feet pushing simultaneously, while both arms are directed forward to support the body when "landing" on the mat, followed by a forward roll. The assessment tool used in this study is an instrument that has been tested on students at SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung. Based on the results of data analysis conducted by the researcher, as many as 2 people or 10% are included in the very good category, 4 people or 20% are classified as good, 7 people or 35% are at a sufficient level, and 7 people or 35% are classified as less. From the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be seen that the level of basic tiger sprong movement ability of students at SMP PGRI Patrol Indramayu is included in the sufficient category.
2025-12-19T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Moh. However, in reality, many students are still less interested in studying Physical Education, Sports, and Health. This is caused by several things, including boredom, minimal game variety, and boring and uninteresting teaching strategies. This study seeks to determine how effective the use of traditional games in increasing students' interest in learning. This research is qualitative using a literature study method through library sources such as books, modules, journals, and scientific works. According to the results of the study, the use of traditional games in Physical Education, Sports, and Health lessons can increase the interest in learning of Elementary School students. The government has introduced the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) as an effort to improve students’ nutritional intake, particularly at the elementary and junior high school levels. This study aims to analyze the effect of the MBG program on the nutritional status of seventh-grade students at SMPN 12 Semarang using Body Mass Index (BMI) as the main indicator. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method. Data were collected through measurements of body weight and height from 254 students participating in the MBG program. The measurements were then used to calculate BMI, which was classified based on WHO standards. The findings revealed that 76.38% of students had normal nutritional status, 7.48% were underweight, 13.39% were overweight, and 2.76% were obese. Overall, the results indicate that the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) contributes positively to the students’ nutritional status.
2025-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ajeng Putri Atma Dhani, Bertika Kusuma Prastiwi, Dian Ayu Zahraini https://mahardhika.or.id/jurnal/index.php/jpas/article/view/362 PENGARUH PUSH UP DAN HAND PADDLE TERHADAP KECEPATAN RENANG GAYA BEBAS 50 METER PADA KLUB TIRTA TUNGGAL SEMARANG 2025-11-06T05:09:03+07:00 Shelina Putri Oktaviyani shelina9876@gmail.com Bertika Kusuma Prastiwi bertikakusuma@gmail.com Fajar Ari Widiyatmoko fajarariwidiyatmoko@upgris.ac.id
The background of this research is during the observation at the Semarang Tunggal Tirta club, which is faced with a speed of 50 meters per freestyle swim, which is still slow. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of push-up and hand paddle on the speed of 50 meters of freestyle swimming. The method employed in this study is a pre-experimental quantitative approach, utilising a two-group pretest and posttest design. The subjects in this study are Semarang Tunggal Tirta club athletes, a total of 15 people, with a sample of 10 people who met the results through the purposive sampling technique. This tool is used to train hand strength, such as push-ups and hand paddles. The push-up results data before and after the test convey a value of 17.13%, and the t-test will give a Sig2-Tail impact of 0.000/p< 0.05. The data of the hand paddle results before and after the test conveyed a value of 14.14%, and the t-test would occur, that would occur Sig2 tail of 0,000/p< 0.05. In this study, push-up and hand paddle exercises carried out at the Semarang single tirta club that most influenced the 50 m freestyle swimming speed were the push-up exercise with an increase of 17.13% although both of them increased the free travel performance of 50 meters, but the push-up training program was more effective than the hand paddle exercise.
2025-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Shelina Putri Oktaviyani, Bertika Kusuma Prastiwi, Fajar Ari Widiyatmoko https://mahardhika.or.id/jurnal/index.php/jpas/article/view/372 ANALISIS KONDISI FISIK ATLET PPLOPD CABANG ATLETIK KOTA SALATIGA TAHUN 2025 2025-12-30T05:25:11+07:00 Erni Ulatningsih erniningsih15@gmail.com Buyung Kusumawardhana buyungkusumawardhana@upgris.ac.id Setiyawan Setiyawan setiyawan@upgris.ac.id
This study aimed to analyze the physical condition of athletes participating in the Regional Student Sports Training Program (PPLOPD) for athletics in Salatiga City in 2025. The research employed a descriptive quantitative design involving 50 athletes, consisting of male and female participants, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through physical condition tests covering eight components of physical fitness, including speed, endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination, as well as medical fitness tests conducted by sports medicine professionals. The physical condition test results were converted into total scores ranging from 0 to 80 points and classified into six categories: Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, Very Poor, and Extremely Poor based on the standards of the Indonesian Athletics Federation (FAI). The results showed that 46% of athletes were in the Good and Very Good categories, 26% were in the Fair category, and 28% were below the Fair category. Although all athletes were declared medically fit to train, variations in physical condition indicated the need for individualized and systematic training programs. This study highlights the importance of periodic physical condition evaluation as a foundation for designing safe, effective, and performance-oriented training programs for student athletes.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Erni Ulatningsih, Buyung Kusumawardhana, Setiyawan Setiyawan
